They spilled the beans about how their "Crash Landing on You" shoot came to be.

In case you missed it, Congresswoman Bai Rihan Mangudadatu Sakaluran of Sultan Kudarat and Police Lieutenant Jay Abdurajak recently garnered buzz on the internet for their Crash Landing on You-inspired prenup shoot.

Both self-proclaimed Korean drama addicts, their photos re-enacting scenes from the famous show as Captain Ri and Yoon Se-ri quickly took the internet by storm, along with their equally gorgeous CLOY-themed video. “He’s from North Zamboanga [like how] Captain Ri [is] from North Korea. Ako naman from the south so from ‘Seoul-tan’ Kudarat,” Rihan humorously explained in an interview.

To replicate the sceneries from the original, the pair shot in various locations throughout Mindanao including General Santos City, Sarangani, South Cotabato, and the newly discovered La Palmera Mountain Ridge in Columbio, Sultan Kudarat.

But that’s not all! Jay and Rihan captured everyone’s attention for the second time around just a few weeks later for their luxurious and elegant royal Muslim engagement photos. Talk about a real life power couple! Rihan, who also happens to be an actual princess (yes, you read that right) as the granddaughter of Sultan Omar Pax Mangudadatu, posted a series of photos on her Facebook page showcasing their traditional Muslim ceremony.

The now-viral set highlighted the pair donning eye-catching traditional clothing while in the midst of a Salangguni, a.k.a. a formal occasion held for when the man asks for the blessing of the woman’s parents. Rihan recounts, “Sabi ko I really wanted the engagement to be traditional. Gusto ko talaga ma-showcase kung ano yung ginagawa na tradisyon ng isang Tuausug at ng mga Maguindanaoan para mapakita namin kung paano ba yung proseso.”
