Viva forever? Not quite.
It’s been announced that 2017 will witness the return of the iconic ‘90s Brit pop girl group, the Spice Girls, as they are set to play a series of live shows to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut single Wannabe. In fact, Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), and Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) have been spotted in London’s Play Deep studios where they are reportedly recording new material for the release of a new album. Sounds exciting? You bet! But wait, where’s Posh?
Despite the excitement and hype surrounding this major comeback, it’s been reported that Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) and Mel C (Sporty Spice) won’t be joining in on the reunion. The Mirror reports that a spokesperson of Victoria says that the the fashion designer and mother of four will be busy with “launching her forthcoming Estée Lauder collection,” and that she hasn’t been involved with anything in regards to the reunion. Mel C on the other hand has confirmed earlier this year that she will be putting all her efforts and time on her solo career.
We’re tearing up just thinking about it all.
