Vice Ganda just brought his family—and the internet—to tears, after he recently bought the Vicerals a new home. Vice shared the tear-jerking, momentous reveal through a YouTube vlog uploaded last August 14.
The comedian surprised his family on the eve of his sister Tina’s birthday. Thinking they were only going out for dinner, the Viceral’s had absolutely no idea what they were in for. “Matagal namin prinepare ‘to, kami nila Ion [Perez], naghanap [kami] ng bonggang opportunity or timing kung kailan namin ire-reveal sa kanila,” he said on the way to the property. “Sana ma-happy sila.”
It’s safe to say Vice got his wish. Upon entering the premises, while surrounded by their closest friends, Vice’s family was greeted with a signage of balloons that read “Welcome to Your New Home, Viceral Family.” Rendered speechless, his mom couldn’t help but instinctively think of the whole thing as a prank. Even his sister, Doc Tina, joked, “Hindi to prank? Ang bongga naman ng birthday gift mo.”
Vice and his family then toured the three-story home, which features multiple bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, and a private swimming pool to boot! Stunned throughout the video, Vice’s mom, at one point, preciously quipped, “Turbo lang ang gusto ko, anak.” So cute!
According to Vice, the current pandemic made him realize just how uncertain life can be, which eventually led him to the conclusion that he should spoil his loved ones while he still can. “Hanggat kayo ko magbigay ng masayang memory o magandang regalo sa kanila, gagawin ko na. Hindi ko alam kung nandun pa ‘ko bukas, next month, or next year, kaya sabi ko ‘mukhang sobra naman yung ipon ko.’ Sino naman makikinabang nito ‘di ba? Kami-kami rin naman,” explained the comedian. “Gusto ko maramdaman ng family ko, ma-experience nila yung sarap hanggat nabubuhay ako, hanggat nabubuhay sila. Gusto ko maramdaman namin lahat yung masarap, yung masaya, yung maganda.”
