For the past year or so, you've probably exerted all efforts into making your spaces at home more comfortable and #aesthetic. Maybe you've searched for pegs online, or binge-watched vlogs by your fave celebs for ideas. Well, if you need more interior design inspo, look no further. ICYMI, in a recent video with Architectural Digest, actress Vanessa Hudgens gave a tour of her enchanting Georgian colonial house in Los Angeles, California. Check it out!
For starters, this is the beautiful and well-lit living room. According to Vanessa, "I wanted it to feel really French. I wanted it just to be really casual, and relaxed, and cozy." In fact, she shared that a lot of the pieces in this space are actually from vintage shops. Aside from her piano (which she says she doesn't really get to use often), you'll see her collection of vintage books. "Finding old books all over the world is one of my favorite things to do," she added. On her shelves are a mix of original prints of Emma, French love stories, and more.
Who would have thought the 32-year-old star is also a plantita? Vanessa mentioned that she loves big plants. In her living room alone, she has a monstera and a lovely bouquet. She tells AD, "I think it's so important to just bring life into your home,"
Okay, we're calling it: This spot is absolutely perfect for cute selfies and home photo shoots! Just imagine how great your pics would look with that natural lighting.
Another cool spot in Vanessa's home is her breakfast nook, which she claims she's very proud of. (Spot the vintage-inspired wallpaper with the mushrooms and dragons!) Her couch was personally made and inspired by a New York restaurant she was obsessed with. Looking at it, she said it feels like you're in New Orleans in the '20s.
Fun fact: The kitchen was actually remodeled! It was one of Vanessa's projects during the pandemic. As for the dining room, she wanted the overall feel to be "very romantic."
Meanwhile, she wanted an old Hollywood vibe for her powder room. Obviously, to complete the theme, you gotta feature the iconic Marilyn Monroe.
Moving on to Vanessa's bedroom, you'll notice the stylish pops of color in her furniture, curtains, and beddings. "I wanted it to be very feminine. Of course, there's going to be a lot of celebrating the woman form in my bedroom," she shared.
But what probably caught our attention the most was the bathroom. In fact, Vanessa revealed that it's actually one of her favorite places in the house! She worked with interior designer Jake Arnold to achieve a sexy and cave-like space.
And of course, you can't forget about the outdoor pool! BRB, wishing we were in L.A. right now.
