After getting flak for an alleged no-crossdressing policy, representatives of Valkyrie club at the Bonifacio Global City have clarified their dress code.
Designer Veejay Floresca, a transwoman who was barred by bouncers from entering Valkyrie and the Palace Pool Club adjacent to it (she was later let in - read here and here), took to Facebook to share the results of a meeting convened with the help of LGBT rights advocate Divine Lee.
"Just finished a meeting with the people from Valkyrie. To all my LGBT friends, I am happy to announce that we are all welcome to enter the club. We just need to follow the appropriate dress code policy such as no slippers or tank tops allowed but they allow guests who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. They don't discriminate. This is a good start. Thank you to the management of Valkyrie and the leaders of LGBT community! Time to celebrate. cheers"
