K-dramas and even Korean variety shows have been steadily gaining popularity over the years. Below, we list down five TV adaptations in the US that were inspired by South Korean shows.

2.The Masked Singer

The Masked Singer is a talent competition where celebrities perform on the show in disguises often involving masks and the panelists (Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, and Nicole Scherzinger) will have to guess the identity of the masked singer. The show is the US adaptation of the popular South Korean variety series King of Mask Singer. In the US version, artists like T-Pain, Chris Daughtry, and Jesse McCartney have made appearances. In the South Korean version, actors and idols alike have participated on the show, including Lee Sung Kyung and Super Junior's Kyuhyun.
