Yup, the 2020 Miss Universe pageant is still heavy on people's minds! People on all social media platforms are still sending their love and congratulations to the Philippine bet Rabiya Mateo, who ultimately placed in the Top 21.
Last Monday's pageant was still a victory for the our shores, though! The Philippines has enjoyed an 11-year semis streak, as our delegates have consistently advanced to the Top 20 for the past decade and counting, ever since Venus Raj placed as the fourth runner-up in Miss Universe 2010. And since then, we've bagged the crown twice, thanks to Pia Wurtzbach in 2015 and Catriona Gray in 2018.
Following the results of Monday's pageant, Catriona took to Twitter to express her excitement, tweeting, "Woooow this year is intense!! Sending Rabiya all of our love! She made our country proud! 11 Year consecutive semi-streak Pilipinassss."
Her tweet was quoted by supermodel Tyra Banks herself, who wrote, "Pretty Pinoy Power Forever!"

This isn't the first time Tyra noticed the impressive pageant performance of Philippine representatives. In 2018, she fangirled over Catriona's iconic lava walk, calling it, "NEXT LEVEL FIERCE!!!"

Let's hope Tyra's support will become something of a good luck charm in the years to come!
