Blogger Tricia Gosingtian, a regular on Stylebible because of her knockout kawaii OOTDs, just got engaged to her boyfriend of five years, RG Gabunada.
At the stroke of midnight-ish last Sunday, RG asked for her hand in marriage on her front porch, a place they've spent more time in than anywhere else in the world, according to Tricia.
“Back in January 2011, when we officially became a couple, he kept telling me how he’d be so willing to marry me already if it were only possible. On the very porch where he proposed last night.”
Being a true-blue blogger that she is, Tricia didn’t doze off without documenting her feelings (and her yellow gold engagement ring with a Tiffany setting!). About three hours right after the midnight proposal, at 3:25am to be exact, she shared on her blog: “I don’t want to go home yet. Let me see your face for a few more minutes,” is the usual line that her boyfriend-turned-fiancé would always say upon bringing her home. So after he blurted the same line that night after a long day of celebrating their 5th anniversary, a marriage proposal wasn't something she was expecting.
One thing's for sure, though. RG may not be as big of a blogger as his soon-to-be-wife, but he's clearly just as good with words.
“A lot of things may have changed, from your hair color to my weight, and our selves in general, but I take comfort in the fact that our love has remained constant. Here’s to more of these in the future. You are my favorite, and I will always love you.”
Now, that made us tear up. Congrats, Tricia! And RG, good luck on your way to officially becoming an Instagram Husband.
