You know what's trendy now? Coloring books!
What used to be an activity given to kids to keep them busy is now something adults do when they’re, well, extremely busy. That's a bit confusing, right? Allow us to explain: Coloring is strongly gaining popularity right now as a hobby for adults, boys and girls alike, as a way to de-stress. Psychologists say that it relaxes the part of the brain called amygdala (um, think of it as Fear from the movie Inside Out). Not only does it reduce stress and anxiety, it also helps refine your motor skills. Obviously, it promotes creativity, too. But the best part? It’s fun—plain as day!
Even we at Style Bible are hooked! Here, see the results of our midday de-stressing activity.
