Two Cebu Hotels Added to the 2025 Michelin Guide for Hotels
The newly opened NUSTAR Hotel and the seaside Dusit Thani Mactan—both managed by Robinsons Land Corporation’s hospitality arm, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts—have officially joined the prestigious Michelin Guide, which expanded its Philippine list from six hotels in 2024 to 13 in 2025. Known for its careful selection process, the Michelin Guide evaluates properties based on design, service, personality, and how well they reflect the local experience.
1. NUSTAR Hotel
Part of the NUSTAR Integrated Resort and Casino, this hotel is one of Cebu’s newest luxury additions, billed as a six-star accommodation. With 300 rooms, panoramic sea views, and a focus on Filipino elegance, NUSTAR Hotel aims to set a new benchmark for locally rooted, high-end hospitality.
“There is an ease to the place, but the energy picks up in the tasting room, lounge, and pool villas,” the Michelin Guide writes. “It is the kind of address that sets a new tone for luxury in Cebu.”
The luxury hotel also holds the distinction of being the first ultra-luxury homegrown hotel brand, combining polished design with the warmth and attention to detail of Filipino service.

2. Dusit Thani Mactan
Just a short drive away on the Mactan coastline, Dusit Thani Mactan offers a more laid-back kind of luxury. This beachfront resort is known for its breezy open-air spaces, wellness-focused atmosphere, and thoughtful hospitality.
As the Michelin Guide puts it, the Mactan output “brings together Filipino warmth and Thai hospitality.” A collaboration between Thailand-based Dusit International and Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, the property reflects both international expertise and local charm—something that clearly stood out to the Michelin Guide.
