Instagram Story has made it to its one-year anniversary, and to celebrate the milestone, the app released the users with top engagement scores.
Business of Fashion reports the 15 fashion accounts that accumulated the highest IG story views in the past year. All of them have more than 10 million followers, and are a mix of personalities and brands.
Chiara Ferragni was the only influencer on the list, bagging second place after model-actress Emily Ratajkowski who came in first. But it was perhaps the Victoria's Secret models who sweeped the ranking, with seven of them landing high ranks.
Candice Swanepoel and Cara Delevingne came in highest at third and fifth, while Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, and Gisele Bundchen bagged the sixth, eighth, and 13th spots respectively. The newer angels, Gigi Hadid (ninth) and Kendall Jenner (12th), didn't fall that far behind either.
Brands that have stepped up their social media game raked in the prestige, too, and four landed top spots. Dior was the highest at number 10, followed by Dolce & Gabbana (11th), Louis Vuitton (14th), and Christian Louboutin (15th).
"What everyone [in the list] has in common is that you have this sense of being there with someone, and feeling like the walls have come down," says Instagram's head of fashion partnerships Eva Chen. The ranking had nothing to do with follower count at all, which probably explains the absence of the platform's most-followed accounts like Selena Gomez and Kim Kardashian.
