With Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) having recently returned for its fourth season, the Spanish drama has quickly climbed up Netflix Philippines' top 10 chart where it currently sits at number one, as of writing.
Fans have also been vocal about their reactions online. And aside from a new character named Manila joining the gang as tribute to its loyal viewers in the country, it seems Filipinos have found another reason to create buzz online about the show.
Apparently, the internet thinks Money Heist's Ricardo Ramos, a.k.a. Denver, looks a lot like Solenn Heussaff's husband, Nico Bolzico. Honestly, now that we think about it, the similarities are uncanny!
A fan of the show himself, Nico's good-naturedly responded to the comparisons on his IG stories after receiving multiple tags on the platform.
One user even pointed that if the show ever did a Philippine or Argentinian adaptation, Nico would be a definite shoe-in for Denver's role. "Challenge accepted???" he replied.
"When he looks like that we look alike," came his response to another IG user who tagged him in yet another photo of Jaime Lorente, the 28-year-old Spanish actor who portrays Denver on the show.
