Timothee Chalamet has always been known for his messy luscious curls, so much so that his magical locks have whole article features of their own. Save, of course, for those few months where he was seen rocking a peculiar and now infamous bowl cut. Ever wondered why he got the friar-esque chop? As it turns out it was all for a movie role, and we finally get to see the results, which actually don’t look too bad if we’re being honest. As seen on the official trailer for Netflix’s upcoming period film, The King, Timothee plays Hal, a rebel prince and king-to-be.
The official synopsis reads: “Hal, the wayward prince and reluctant heir to the English throne, has turned his back on royal life and is living among the people. But when his tyrannical father dies, Hal is crowned King Henry V and is forced to embrace the life he had previously tried to escape.” The film is based on several plays from William Shakespeare’s Henriad, and also stars Robert Pattinson, Lily Rose-Depp, and Joel Edgerton.
