Counterintuitive as it might seem, there’s something about the pairing of tea and a cheese-foam topping—as you’ll find in cheese tea—that’s especially irresistible. And now there's a new milk-tea spot where you can get it: Tiger Sugar’s just released their own line of cheese tea in the form of their Tiger Cheese Mousse Series. These tea drinks come topped with a creamy cheese mousse, whose slight saltiness goes with the sweetness of the drink and perks up the earthy notes of the tea.
If you’re a purist or it’s your first time trying cheese-topped tea, go for the Tiger Cheese Mousse Green Tea (P140) for an earthy profile, or the Tiger Cheese Mousse Black Tea (P140) for a deeper-tasting drink. For something different, you can also go for the Tiger Cheese Mousse Sunshine Vintage Black Tea (P140) or the Tiger Cheese Mousse Golden Black Oolong Tea (P140).
The Tiger Cheese Mousse drinks are currently available for takeout at selected stores—namely, their Bonifacio High Street, Glorietta, Trinoma, SM North EDSA, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM Southmall, SM Aura Premier, Eastwood Mall, and Del Monte branches. Stuck at home? Relax; the drinks will also be available for delivery (and available at all branches) starting June 26.
Tiger Sugar is a Taiwanese drink spot that opened their first Philippine branch in 2018. They're especially known for their brown sugar milk drinks, among which is their Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Cream Mousse for its creamy, milky profile and soft pearls.
