We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you’re one of those millennials who’ve since been striving for a flawlessly curated Instagram grid, then you need to brace yourself: The photo-sharing app might be rolling out a new update soon, and you’re not gonna like it.
Do you coordinate your posts by row according to a specific theme, color, or filter? If you do so with a default set of three images in mind, then there goes your problem because Instagram seems to be planning on switching to a four-across photo grid. In fact, they’re already testing out this new feature with selected users who were quick to air out their disapproval on Twitter.
Oh no you didn’t, Instagram!
While on the experimenting stage, the app has been known to start with randomly selected users before officially rolling out new features to the public. They’ve done it before when they launched Stories, multiple photo uploading, and disabling of comments.
Still, we’re crossing our fingers that this is nothing more than just a glitch and that this update never sees the light of day. Otherwise, we might have to go back to square one... literally.
