Yup, international travel might not go back to normal anytime soon, but that doesn't stop us from dreaming about the places—K-drama locations, to be exact—that we want to visit in the future! Episodes of The King: The Eternal Monarch, starring Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun, are getting more intense as we speak, and we can't believe we have several days of waiting left before we find out what happens next.
To quench your thirst for The King content, we think you'd be glad to know that we now know the exact location of Tae Eul's apartment from the show! According to Mee, a Pinay based in South Korea who also visited Crash Landing on You filming locations this year, the set for Jung Tae Eul's house and the nearby coffee/milk tea shop is located in a residential area. If you get the chance to visit Korea, you can find it at 2728 Munhwa-dong, Chungju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do! Chungju City is a two-hour drive from Seoul.
Below are some scenes from the drama (including THAT kiss) which happened at this particular location:
In her vlog and Facebook post, Mee writes: "We visited last April 30, 2020, using our car so I am not sure how to go here using public transportation...They usually close the gate of this house so it is not really open to the public, and the drama is still ongoing. [It] just happened that the owner of that house was there, so we were allowed to go inside for [a] few minutes. But you can still see this house and the coffee shop even from outside, because the fences are not [that] high."
Here's Mee in front of Tae Eul's house:
We also see Maximus' old "home":
Fun fact: Although The Alley is an actual milk tea chain in Korea, the branch featured in the drama is actually a container van that was renovated just for The King: Eternal Monarch!
