Arguably, nothing is a more quintessential K-drama setting than the office. Here, love blossoms in between the nine-to-five grind, but as expected, it won't be as smooth as it is on paper.
Adding on to our long list of office-set romances is the new Netflix favorite The Interest of Love, which has currently soared on local ratings and international ranks–the Philippines included. But before clocking in to this romance drama, we’ll lay out the essential info. Here’s what you need to know about this new workplace Hallyu series.

The Plot
Based on a novel of the same Korean title by Lee Hyuk Jin, the stories of four employees begin to unfold inside the office space of KCU Bank’s Yeongpo branch. One of these stories are Ha Sang-su's (Yoo Yeon Seok), the branch manager and former model student, who nows leads a comfortable life and relishes it. On the other side is Ahn Soo-young (Moon Ga Young), a fourth-year service representative with a complex family history, whose distrust in love becomes her guiding principle for future romances.
Elsewhere in the office is Park Mi-kyung (Keum Sae Rok), the new assistant manager who used to be Sang-su’s college junior. Hailing from a rich family, she’s depicted as a self-assertive character who enters a relationship that doesn’t go as planned. Jeong Jong-hyeon (Jung Ga Ram) mans the bank’s security, while he makes his way to becoming a full-fledged police officer. Soon, he’ll get entangled in the drama that unravels inside its halls.
The Cast
Filling the role of the headstrong bank manager Ha Sang-su is Yoo Yeon Seok, whose previous K-drama stints include Narco Saints, Hospital Playlist, Dr. Romantic, and Reply 1994. The 38-year-old TV regular isn’t a stranger to the silver screen either, with several noted appearances in films like the critically acclaimed Oldboy and the recent Korean-French film Vanishing.
Playing fourth-year representative Ahn Soo-young is German-born former child actress Moon Ga-young, whose past drama credits consist of Sh**ting Stars, True Beauty, and Welcome to Waikiki 2.
Keum Sae Rok takes on the character of the affluent assistant manager Park Mi-kyung. The 30-year-old star was last spotted in series like Youth of May, Joseon Exorcist, and Class of Lies.
Rounding up the main cast is Jeong Jong-hyeon played by Jung Ga Ram, who was previously seen in Love Alarm and When the Camellia Blooms.
Among the supporting cast are the many faces of KCU Bank, including Moon Tae Yoo’s So Gyeong-pil, Jung Jae Sung’s Yuk Shi-kyung, Lee Hwa Ryong’s Noh Tae-pyung, and more.
The Crew
Jo Young Min helms the K-drama's director chair, whose past project includes Do You Like Brahms?, a romance drama centered on pianists at a prestigious music institution starring Hallyu favorites Park Eun Bin and Kim Min Jae. Meanwhile, first-time screenwriters Lee Seo Hyun and Lee Hyun Jung adapted the novel for the screen.
