The Philippines is known for its longest running Christmas season. And in that spirit, Ayala Malls are kicking up the holidays in full swing as they officially launch Lov’Em Lit Holidays today at The Gallery in Greenbelt 5.
“Christmas is close to our hearts because it’s about family. And this year, we want our shoppers to feel a heart-warming Christmas at Ayala Malls, it being their second home. We have put together activities that the whole family can enjoy together–a dance production that will mesmerize, symphonies that will captivate, and, of course, our Christmas markets where shoppers can get wonderful gift ideas,” shares Rowena Tomeldan, President of Ayala Land Malls Inc.
The launch unveiled Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala’s nearest contemporary work, a mix of photos and textures that capture the color, vibrancy and energy of the Christmas spirit. His work that is on display inside the tunnel leading up to Greenbelt 3 is one of his efforts in celebrating the Filipino culture.
The event was graced by the presence of Sofia Zobel-Elizalde, Doña Bea Zobel, Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala and Mariana Zobel de Ayala
They also debuted the Ayala Christmas video which Paolo Valenciano directed himself.
The Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra, meanwhile, serenaded us with melodies setting the whole event into holiday mood. They will be touring the Ayala Malls starting November 19 as a fundraising initiative to build their new home.
Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby also attended the event to promote their mall shows and to sing for us with their soothing voices along with Daryl Ong and Xian Lim.
Joining them are members of Steps Dance Project strutting to the tunes of Sting in their I Got Stung show.
They are also sharing the stage with former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performers Aubree Brown and Jamal White who will wow you with their virtuoso dancing.
And of course, shopping cannot be left out of the program! Giving us a glimpse of what’s to come to Ayala Malls, with their respective Christmas bazaars, the event guests filled their goodie bags with gifts from the booths found in a special Ayala Mall Market.
