The countdown has begun! Start marking those calendars because roughly two months from now, a new queen will be crowned to reign over the universe. After 43 years since the Philippines first hosted the prestigious pageant, beautiful ladies from all across the world will be flying to our home country once again to vie for the 65th Miss Universe title, following in the footsteps of our very own reigning Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach.
As confirmed by Shawn McClain, vice president of business development and marketing of the Miss Universe Organization, the grand coronation of the 65th Miss Universe beauty pageant will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. "We will have a team of about 400 people here, and we're gonna be visiting lots of different places. We're going to be showing the world what the Philippines has to offer, and we're gonna help boost tourism and put positive focus on everything that the Philippines stands for," he announced during the press conference.
