The Thai stars of popular Boys' Loves rom-com series 2gether brought major BrightWin fever across the country last week and we're still not over it!
GMMTV’s Metawin “Win” Opas-iamkajorn and Vachirawit “Bright” Chiva-aree graced the Philippine media with a live online interview last Friday in promotion of their show’s Filipino-dubbed local run, which came out on ABS-CBN’s cable and online platforms on June 28. Handsome as ever, the pair answered a slew of fun questions from their favorite Thai food, to their dream roles, to the places they’d want to visit most in the Philippines—Win says Boracay while Bright answered Cebu.
ICYDK Bright and Win rose to prominence for their BL web show which wrapped up it’s last episode just under two months ago. Dubbed 2gether: The Series, the story follows a college freshman named Tine who finds himself being followed by a relentless male suitor. To shake him off without directly having to break his heart, Tine's group of friends suggest that he fake-date Sarawat, their university's enigmatic and reserved, resident heartthrob. Needless to say, we all know where this is going.
While Tine and Sarawat may have undoubtedly looked like the picture perfect couple together onscreen, did you know that Win and Bright had to change up their physical appearances a bit to meet their characters’ looks? For Bright that meant laying off sunscreen for a whole three months! “I read the novel many times and I had to darken my skin for my character,” he told Preview. As for Win, he most likely had to reign in his eating habits. “I read the novel too and I had to lose weight. Because before, I was bigger than him (Bright) and Tine has to be smaller than Sarawat. So I had to lose weight.”

Of course, aside from interacting with the media, BrightWin entertained their fans from all over the world with a massive global fanmeet, which reportedly brought in a jaw-dropping one billion heart reactions on celebrity video streaming app V Live.
During the live event one lucky Filipino fan got to ask the boys for their dream vacation destinations. Where Bright answered the Maldives, Win replied that he'd love to visit the Phlippines' own Mayon Volcano someday. “I want to go to Mayon Volcano. Because of the view, and the landscape is so beautiful,” he said. Not long after the actor mentioned the famous local landmark, the term "Mayon Volcano" erupted on Twitter as a trending topic as Filipino fans scrambled to tweet Win photos of his dream vacay spot.
