Ever since the announcement of Lee Dong Wook’s new fantasy drama The Tale of Gumiho, we’ve been waiting somewhat impatiently for updates about the series.
The drama’s reported plot revolves on TV producer Nam Ji Ah (Jo Bo Ah), who’s currently working on a project about urban myths and legends. She encounters a real-life gumiho (or a "nine-tailed fox" in Korean folklore) named Lee Yeon, played by Lee Dong Wook. Additionally, it was recently announced that actor Kim Bum will be joining the series to play Dong Wook’s brother in the show and his fellow gumiho Lee Rang.
As if we need more reasons to be excited, Lee Dong Wook posted the very first video teaser of the drama on his Instagram account yesterday:
The short video revealed a very mysterious and dark reel with suspenseful music. We also get a glimpse of the lead actor’s look as his character Lee Yeon, who sports a distinctly layered copper ‘do. Meanwhile, Kim Bum seemingly shows a sinister side to him in the trailer. Not much is shown of Bo Ah’s character, although she looks to be a hardworking career woman in the featured clips. We can't wait to find out more about this drama!
Lee Dong Wook's Lee Yeon looks brooding and mysterious.
Jo Bo Ah's Nam Ji Ah seems like a struggling TV producer determined to chase after a story.

Kim Bum's Lee Rang looks a little devilish.
We can’t wait for it to premiere in October! Here’s to hoping it will be available to stream in the Philippines soon!
