The Itchyworms have written a bunch of extremely catchy tunes throughout their career. From hit songs such as “Beer,” “Akin Ka Na Lang,” “Gusto Ko Lamang Sa Buhay,” and “Ayokong Tumanda,”, it is perhaps that none is as recognizable and can inspire instant happy sing-along sessions as much as “Penge Naman Ako Nyan.”
The first single off of the band’s third studio album Self-Titled has LSS (last song syndrome) written all over it, but we can't help but rise the questions: How exactly did they come up with it? What did their previous song “Beer” have to do with it? And what’s the story behind the Quark Henares-directed music video for the song that’s become something of a modern classic? But the one thing that definitely piqued our interest is Quark revealing that they shot parts of the music video inside the home of his famous mom—Dr. Vicki Belo—and it's all because she had a pole inside. Curious yet?
