The 41-year-old actress is currently seeking for physical custody of their six children and is appealing against joint physical custody, willing to grant her estranged husband with only visitation rights.
TMZ reported that the reason for Brangelina’s trouble in paradise has something to do with Brad’s parenting skills. Another speculation, however, points to a third party. As reported by Page Six, the actor was allegedly discovered having an affair with his Allied co-star, Marion Cotillard.
Angelina’s lawyer, Robert Offer, released a statement on the matter: "Angelina has filed for dissolution of the marriage. This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time."
In an interview with E! News, the actress’ manager Geyer Kosinki also commented on the issue. “Angelina is doing what's best in the interest of taking care of her children. She appreciates everyone's understanding of their need for privacy at this time," he said.
Shortly after, Brad also issued a public statement. The actor told People, "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
