It's official: Shin Ha Kyun is this year's Best TV Actor at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards!

The veteran star bagged the elusive trophy for his role in the JTBC drama Beyond Evil as Lee Dong-sik, a washed up detective in pursuit of a serial killer. He starred alongside Hotel Del Luna's Yeo Jin Goo in the series.

The actor beat out fan favorites Song Joong Ki (Vincenzo) and Kim Soo Hyun (It's Okay to Not Be Okay) for the much-anticipated award. Other actors also nominated were Um Ki Joon (The Penthouse: War in Life), and Lee Joon Gi (Flower of Evil).

ICYDK, Ha Kyun has been in the acting industry for 23 long years. He's also best known for his roles in dramas like Less Than Evil and Pied Piper, and the 2005 war film Welcome to Dongmakgol. Prior to his win this year, he was last nominated for a Best TV Actor award at Baeksang in 2012 for his performance in the medical drama Brain.

Beyond Evil is the second most nominated drama at the awards show with seven nods, just behind It's Okay to Not Be Okay's eight nominations. In addition to Ha Kyun's win, the show itself took home the awards for Best Drama and Best Screenplay.
