As soon as I entered the venue for this year’s Red Charity Gala, I felt a different energy take over the room. Usually when one declares a formal dress code, there’s a certain reluctance to participate in the pomp and circumstance that go with gown-wearing, but not at this event. The crowd consisted of Manila’s elite society, dressed to the nines and ready for a fun night of booze, charity, and revelry. All I saw, mingling and air kissing to their heart’s desire, were elegantly dressed ladies, social butterflies who didn’t only act the part, but dressed it, too.
Voluminous skirts, intricate beading, and floor-sweeping lengths were the trends that took over the night, lending the event a sophisticated edge. Check out the night’s stylish attendees below.
