The Seda brand isn't a name we haven't heard before. Already boasting 10 hotels, with at least three more on the way, they're all known to be strategically located in their chosen area's central business district. Suffice to say, each of their locations offer a dapper "urban lifestyle" experience, especially for those on business.
Having just opened a larger expansion tower at the heart of Taguig, we went down to Seda BGC to find out if the newly furnished hotel lives up to its counterparts.
Seda's handsome, finely polished rooms overlook the busy streets of BGC. It's a comfortable feeling, looking out the window onto the hustle and bustle of the streets, while safely tucked in your not-so humble abode. Seda's most "basic" 30 square meter room proves to be more than enough for traveling businessmen or groups of two or three looking for a place to stay during their visit. Amenities include, a 40-inch HD TV, coffee and tea making facilities, an executive desk, an in-room safe, a complete media panel for audio-visual connectivity, a mini bar and complimentary Wi-Fi access. However, for larger groups or solo acts with money to spare for a swankier stay, you can always take up their stylish suites that come in double or triple the space of their Deluxe rooms, along with a special access to their exclusive club lounge.
Built with professional and posh multiple function rooms, from boardrooms to more expansive multipurpose halls, Seda's also the perfect place to hold business meetings, conferences, seminars, or other social events, such as parties and wedding receptions. On our visit to the hotel, we chanced upon the set-up to a Christening, and we're not just refering to your usual resto dining after the ceremony, we're talking a massive celebration fit for a girl's debut party, except with kiddie inflatables, balloons on the ceiling 'til your eyes can reach, the whole nine-yards, all housed in Seda's Velvet ballroom that fits 400 people.
Aside from formal events, they also have facilities for recreation and play like their rooftop swimming pool, state-of-the-art gym, and an E-lounge with iMac stations if the kids are growing antsy for internet games, or you need to surf the net on a bigger screen.
Food and Drink
Seda has two food and drink outlets in which to dine within the hotel. For fine dining, there's Misto to serve you both local and internatinal delicacies, and Straight Up, their chic bar scene with a view of the city skyline. If you think about it, two is just enough considering the hotel itself is located in the middle of everything, and almost every establishment is just a walk away.
The hotel sees an eclectic mix of businessmen, foreign nationals, and families out on a much needed staycation. It's an easy crowd you'll grow comfortable with by the time breakfast comes around.
Is it worth the stay?
Overall, we say Seda's the posh BGC abode that's always ready to offer you a cozy home to say in where everything's unsurpisingly chic and refined, when you've found yourself enjoying a short stay in their area. It will welcome you with outstretched hands, feed you the best comfort food, let you revel in the city's night life, and have you ensconced with a big bed and a thick comforter at the end of the day.
