Sandara Park is no doubt a fashion week regular. A style icon in her own right, the K-pop star always has a front-row seat at some of the most exclusive presentations every season. Just last year, she was the darling of the paparazzi on the streets of Paris, turning heads with her luxe lookbook.
Sadly, Sandara won't be making any appearances on the fashion capital's streets this year. In a tweet, she shared that "it is already too late to prepare for Paris."
For context, the singer shared that she was supposed to perform at a concert in Cebu City at the end of this month. Sandara was part of the roster for "AWAKE: A New Beginning," which was slated to be the city's first-ever all K-pop show. Supposedly joining her in the line-up were acts Viviz, 1Million, Younite, and more.
"I was supposed to be in [another] country for work [at the] end of this month but unforfunately, it just got canceled too," she said. In a statement, the event's organizers pointed out "unforseen circumstances" and "unpredicatable weather conditions" as reasons to call off the concert.
Sandara continued her statements, expressing her disappointment for the show's sudden cancellation. "I was preparing a lot for the show. But there is always next time... I hope you guys are okay, and don’t forget I’ll always be here for my Daralings and Blackjacks," she tweeted.
Following things up, Sandara shared how much she was looking forward to meeting her fans at her shows, saying, "I love fashion and I super enjoy attending fashion events but I think 'performing onstage > fashion events.'" She added how she can "always go to fashion week next year."
The idol was just in the Philippines last August to take part in a concert sponsored by phone brand Acer. She was joined on stage by local artists Sarah Geronimo, Belle Mariano, and Donny Pangilinan.
We hope to see you again soon, too, Dara!
