Located just outside of northern Metro Manila, the province of Bulacan has become a weekend destination among adventure-seekers for its hiking and trekking spots like Mt. Maranat and the 13 Falls. The municipality of Doña Remedios Trinidad has some of the best spots when it comes to nature-inspired getaways, especially since it's known as "Bulacan's Last Frontier." If you're looking to escape the city ASAP, soon-to-open Aranya Resorts boasts a sprawling seven-hectare property for ATV rides and a quiet stay with a view.
