Unwind while putting your creative juices to work!

Art has always served as a release of emotions for most. While the work might be tedious at times, apart from being cathartic, others turn to it for a relaxing activity. People find the gentle act of coloring in a painting almost therapeutic, while some also find it extremely satisfying filling in a portrait of diamonds, or wearing a crochet top they made themselves. If you’re anything like them and are looking to partake in some productive R&R, we’ve got you covered.

The self-care doctor is in. Check out these 5 projects for your next art therapy session:

1. Miniature Building with Lil Haven PH

This is a must-have if you want to have a piece of your favorite television show inside your own home. Fans of shows like Friends, How I Met Your Mother, and The Big Bang Theory will especially get a kick out of this one. (Just don’t move Sheldon’s spot!) But that’s not all Lil Haven has. Apart from pop culture favorites, this miniature craft store sells an array of other options from cafes, to art nooks, to cool lofts, allowing you to build tiny versions of your comfort places or dream destinations.

2. Paint by Numbers with Tara Pinta

If you haven’t tried it yet, painting by numbers can be a very relaxing practice. Coloring a canvas until you finish a piece of art you can call your own can definitely put you on a high. This one shop’s particularly good if you like travel, BTS, or if you want to try your hand at a modern version of a Van Gogh painting. Each purchase even comes with its own adorable little easel!

Tara Pinta’s products sell out fast though, so make sure to remain updated with restocks on their Instagram page.

3. Diamond Painting with Perty.ph

If you’re a perfectionist, this one might be for you! A diamond painting lets you create your own version of a picture, but with a little more force. Perty.ph provides all the materials you’ll need, but how you carefully add the beads onto the adhesive of your chosen image is all up to you. Plus, it’s a good pastime if you’re one to find comfort in the sounds of ASMR.

The Craft Central (found on Shopee, Lazada, and their physical stores) has a variety of materials for your next art project. Who knows? Maybe embroidery could be your next venture. You might find great satisfaction in working with punch needles to create a simple yet elegant piece you can hang up on the wall of your living room. If you’d rather see their products in person than online, you can visit their shops at Greenbelt, Vertis North, SM Megamall, or SM MOA.
