With a staggering total of 16 Tony Awards, one Pulitzer Prize, and one Grammy under its belt, Hamilton: An American Musical is one tough act to follow. The musical, slated for production this year on London's West End, just announced its cast, and it features two Filipina actresses. Rachelle Ann Go will be playing Eliza Schuyler while Christine Allado is set to play both Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds.
Rachelle is no stranger to the stage. With her Broadway debut coming up this spring, and with roles in West End productions of Miss Saigon and Les Miserables under her belt, we're sure the recording artist will give justice to her role as Hamilton's wife.
Portraying the youngest Schuyler sister and amorous Maria Reynolds, Christine is no newbie in the theatrical scene either. She starred in West End's production of In the Heights (another Lin Manuel Miranda musical) and took on the role of Vanessa.
Broadway vet Lea Salonga even took to Twitter to congratulate the pair.
