In the bustling chaos of living in Metro Manila, it's almost too easy to feel a kind of exhaustion that can only be healed in the presence of nature. Luckily, forest cabins aren't too far. Take, for example, Green Sierra in Infanta, Quezon, which is roughly two hours away from the Metro. This glass cabin is right beside a tranquil rainforest and has a stunning, unobstructed view of a mountain range. Rates start at P9,000/night.
Here's What You Can Expect at Green Sierra in Infanta, Quezon
Green Sierra is a glass cabin in the forest that can accommodate a large group of up to eight people. Four guests can stay in a separate bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, while the other four can sleep on the beds in the living room.
There's an equipped kitchen with a stove and griller, and an outdoor grill if you want to cook your favorite dishes. Don't worry if there's no cook in the group, there are places to eat nearby that you can drive to.
It would be best to take out the food and bring it back to the privacy of the cabin. There's a dining area inside the cabin, but there's also an al-fresco area with tables and chairs if you want to eat while appreciating the view. The view? No big deal, it's just the majestic Sierra Madre mountain range.
Other amenities at Green Sierra include a bonfire that's perfect for when the night is chilly and you want to stay warm while drinking and stargazing. Another way to stay warm is taking a dip in the outdoor glass-cased jacuzzi. This is surrounded by more shrubs to give a bit of privacy to whoever is using the tub.
Green Sierra can be rented for P9,000 per night and can accommodate eight people, plus P500 for each additional person. This price is inclusive of having the entire area to yourselves, plus the parking space that can fit up to three cars.
Green Sierra is at Km 91 Marilaque Highway, Sitio Little Baguio, Infanta, Real, Quezon Province. Rates start at P9,000. For more information, visit Green Sierra's Facebook page.
