Presidential Suite

Since the Manila Hotel is known for its role in Philippine history, it makes perfect sense for many to remember the MacArthur Suite where Gen. Douglas MacArthur himself took residence during the Commonwealth period. The crown jewel of the historic hotel, however, is its Presidential Suite, which has been refurbished with posh modern fixtures. From the topmost floor of the Tower Building, the suite treats its visitors to views of both Manila Bay and the Walled City of Intramuros. It may be accessed through its own private elevator. But, perhaps, the beauty of the suite lies in its details: the paintings by Filipino artists that hang on its walls, the bathroom in-laid with Italian marble, the memory foam mattress for a good nightâs sleep, and more.
