The Powerpuff Girls live action is really happening, and we finally have the photos to prove it. Early this week, The CW gave a first look of the iconic cartoon trio as their IRL counterparts. Of course, the image features the girls sporting the character's signature colors of blue, pink, and green!
But before you scroll to see them, here's a quick recap of the show's stunning cast: Bubbles will be played by Emmy award-winning actress Dove Cameron; Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Chloe Bennet will play the role of Blossom, and; broadway actress Yana Perrault will make her small screen debut as Buttercup.

Aside from this much-awaited reveal, the supporting cast for the reboot was also announced this week. Donald Faison will star in the show as Professor Drake Utonium, Robyn Lively as Sara Bellum (or Miss Bellum, as we all fondly call her), and Nicholas Podany as Jojo Mondel (Mojo Jojo). There's no official premiere date yet, but we do know that they're currently in the midst of shooting!
Early this April, TMZ released behind-the-scenes photos from the Powerpuff Girls filming set. It shows the girls in costume, and the internet was definitely torn about that bit. But then again, context is key—we'll find out the real story when the series airs.
ICYMI, the Powerpuff Girls live action remake will reportedly feature the tiny superheroes as 20-somethings, who "resent having lost their childhood to crime fighting." Sounds like another hit like Riverdale to us, so we're definitely tuning in!
