If you’ve been out and about supporting the local film scene this MMFF season, then you might have already seen the teaser of the upcoming film starring everyone’s favorite Filipina superhero, Darna. Directed by the talented man behind noteworthy films such as On The Job and the now must-watch Honor Thy Father, Erik Matti, the trailer did well to impress and excite. If the short clip (and not to mention, Up Dharma Down playing in the background) is an indication of what Star Cinema’s version of Darna will be, then you can count us in at the premiere.
The trailer didn’t fail to leave us all hanging though. We still have no idea as to who will play the iconic role.
Even this uncaptioned post (or clue, rather) by the director on Instagram got the fans wondering as to who will play the female superhero.
The names of fan favorites such as Nadine Lustre, Liza Soberano, Sarah Geronimo, and even Jessy Mendiola have come up. But now we ask you, who do you think will look best in that sexy two-piece, winged head piece, and red knee high boots?
