Pia Wurtzbach is no stranger to traveling. Ever since being crowned as Miss Universe in 2015, the WWF Philippines and UNAIDS Ambassador has constantly been jet-setting around the globe for both work and pleasure. ICYDK, not only does Pia have family abroad, she is also in a long distance relationship with influencer and entrepreneur, Jeremy Jauncey.
With the ever-growing collection of stamps on her passport and postcard-worthy snaps on her IG, when Queen P dubs a locale she just visited as a “must go back,” we take heed and listen.
Such was the case for her most recent trip to Cape Town as a member of the Miss South Africa 2021 selection committee. Apart from her monumental role in the pageant and getting to know the Top 10 finalists, it was a week to remember as she also got to tour some notable spots within and around the city.
Below, we list down all the places Pia Wurtzbach went to in South Africa, as seen on Instagram.
1. Babylonstoren
One of the oldest Cape Dutch working farms, Babylonstoren boasts of luxe accommodations amid sprawling gardens and vineyards. Not only do they grow their own produce, they also serve fine food and wine in the property’s farm-to-fork restaurant, Babel.
On her first day of sightseeing, Pia started her morning with a walking tour around the estate to learn more about the farm’s history, as well as wine heritage. She made her way through the vineyard before ultimately entering the cellar where she got to sip their range of wines.

Next stop for Pia was Groot Constantia. Established in 1685, the national monument is South Africa’s oldest wine producing estate. Not all tourist destinations are on land. Pia and the queens cruised in style aboard MY Princess Emma, an 85-foot luxury motor yacht. A quick pop on their website shows that rates to charter this boat start at R40,920 or roughly P140,000.

Also situated along the V&A Waterfront is the Grand Africa Café & Beach. 8. Aquila Safari
Just a two-hour drive from Cape Town is the award-winning Aquila Safari. Home to the magnificent yet elusive Big 5, Pia was ecstatic as she shared a video she took of the King of the Jungle saying that, “it’s not a safari til you see some [lion emoji]”. Based on that same post, she considers her time spent in the private game reserve with reigning Miss Universe Andrea Meza “an experience of a lifetime.” It’s not hard to see why!
