This chic car accessory symbolizes more than just your love for anything pink. Ruby Gan, Bridgestone's Vice President for Marketing says, "It is to create awareness for both: breast cancer, as well as tire safety. You might wonder where is the connection. At first glance, we might be at either end of the spectrum, but in reality, both brands espouse safety and awareness. Studies have shown that many drivers or car owners don’t know anything about maintaining their tires. They thought it’s just a black round thing and that the car is the more important one. Like breast cancer, no one really thinks about it until we come face to face with the disease. That’s the reason why we thought of this partnership. We both want to save lives."
The limited pink edition of car tires come in a set of four, priced at P100. The proceeds will be donated to the Together We Save Lives foundation. They're available at various Bridgestone outlets and at the I Can Serve booth in Power Plant Mall for the whole month of October, in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness across the country.
