Because of the "enhanced community quarantine" declared all over Luzon, you'd ideally have enough supplies in your cupboard to last until April 30. If you're a pet parent, you'd also have to worry about running out of pet supplies: Cat moms know how disastrous it is to realize you're running low on kitty litter. Don't stress, though—there are pet stores that still deliver, or are open for pick-up. Here's a list of pet stores that are still open as of writing:
1. Pet Co.
Pet Co. caters to the needs of dogs and cats, with a merchandise list inclusive of food, supplements, medicine, hygiene products, accessories, utensils, and toys. Payment is via online bank transfer, and deliveries are through GrabExpress or LalaMove. You may contact them via telephone at (02) 806 1811 or on Facebook. The customer is in charge of booking the delivery service, and, if you live close to the stores, you'll likely get your order within an hour or two.
To order, visit Pet Co. on Facebook.
2. MML Pet Store: The Pet Grocery
To all the parents of exotic pets: No, you don't need to worry. The Pet Grocery caters to dogs, cats, gerbils, rabbits, exotic fishes, reptiles, and birds! Their store is located in 1 Filinvest 2 Road, Quezon City, and you can either drop by, or opt to have your purchases delivered via GrabExpress or LalaMove. It's pretty rare to chance upon a store that answers to the needs of so many animals and delivers amid the community quarantine, so if you have an iguana or alligator, this store is your best bet!
The Pet Grocery is at 1 Filinvest 2 Road, Quezon City. To order, visit them on Facebook.
3. Pet Warehouse
If you can't go out, Pet Warehouse—"the biggest Philippine online store for pets"—is still open for delivery. Their website lets you shop for your food and necesseties for your dogs, cats, and fish anytime of the day. During the month-long "enhanced community quarantine," Pet Warehouse is prioritizing delivery of orders paid online (credit card, debit card, or Paypal) and restricting cash on delivery for the safety of their customers. It often takes three to five days before your order arrives on your doorstep, but this may take additional time depending on demand.
4. Bow and Wow
You can still drop by at Bow and Wow, which dubs itself the "first and only all-natural pet store for dogs and cats in the Philippines." Of its seven stores, two branches remain open in Metro Manila: Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City and Greenbelt in Makati City. Temporary store hours are from Monday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Bow and Wow is at 6/F Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City; and LG/F Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati City. For updates, follow Bow & Wow on Facebook.
5. My Pet One Station
For those living in Quezon City, you can purchase dog food at My Pet One Station in Barangay South Triangle. Grooming services, however, are unavailable. Temporary store hours are from Monday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
My Pet One Station is at Ushio Plaza IV, Scout Torillo Street, South Triangle, Quezon City. For updates, follow Pet One Pet Food on Facebook.
6. Whole Pet Kitchen
Whole Pet Kitchen, which is a natural pet bakery and dog food company, had to suspend operations and close their store during the quarantine; but you can still have their special dog grub picked up by your preferred courier. This is available until supplies last. Limited supplies include gran-free Tubers and Beef Dog Food, Bone-Shaped Cake, Small Paw Cake, Sweet Potato Chips, Beefy Biscotti, and Salmon Biscuits. Payment can be done through GCash or PayMaya while next-day pick-up is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
PetZone, which sells a wide range of tropical fish and everything you need for your aquarium, is still open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Their operating hours were changed to 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the “community quarantine,” but were later adjusted for the “enhanced community quarantine.”) You can also check it out for supplies for dogs, turtles, and other small pets.
PetZone is at Recto Street, San Juan City. For updates, follow PetZone on Facebook.
Farm-to-table isn't just for human food as PettoBento also makes healthy pet food with fresh farm ingredients like water spinach, sweet potato, green beans, and non-processed meat. "We'll deliver for as long as we're allowed to," their latest update on the website said amid the COVID-19 situation.
9. Spoiled Bratz Pet Center
This pet store in Quezon City is open for walk-in customers, pickup, and delivery. They're practicing social distancing so make sure that there are only three other customers inside before you enter. "No mask, no entry" is also implemented.
Spoiled Bratz Pet Center is at 156-G West Avenue, Quezon City. For updates, follow Spoiled Bratz Pet Center on Facebook.
