Watching K-dramas is blissful enough, but adding a fashion element? Even more so! Well, here’s a piece of good news for you, K-drama and fashion lovers alike: A brand new show that revolves on the fashion industry will premiere this week. Titled The Moment or Youth Record (its literal translation), it will reportedly be about three young people navigating the modeling industry. And as if we needed more details to get us hyped, the show stars Hallyu heartthrob Park Bo Gum and Parasite actress Park So Dam!

According to Soompi, Park Bo Gum will play Sa Hye Joon, a popular model who secretly wants to become an actor. Park So Dam will play An Jung Ha, a lonely makeup artist who releases her stress by fangirling over idols. The two will star alongside Byeon Woo Seok, who will portray the third lead character named Won Hae Hyo. Details as to how these characters will cross paths have yet to be revealed.


If you ask us, we’re totally psyched to see Park Bo Gum and Park So Dam pairing up in this new show, as the two are fresh off the heels of their recent achievements. Park Bo Gum’s last drama was Encounter with Song Hye Kyo. He also starred in fan-favorite dramas such as Reply 1988 and Love in the Moonlight.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Park So Dam made waves globally with the award-winning film Parasite, where she played the scheming Kim Ki Jung. The movie racked up accolades at the Oscars and Cannes Film Festival. She has since garnered the attention of the fashion world, having been featured in magazines such as Vanity Fair and British Vogue

The Moment is directed by Ahn Gil Ho, the man behind Watcher and Memories of the Alhambra. It's written by Ha Myung Hee, who was responsible for K-dramas such as Doctors and Temperature of Love.

Also, a little heads up: SKY Castle’s Kim Hye Yoon is expected to make a cameo role!

The show is scheduled to air on South Korean network tvN this May 25. It hasn’t been confirmed yet whether it will be released in the Philippines via Netflix, but given everything there is to look forward to, we're keeping our fingers crossed!
