As huge fans of Our Beloved Summer, our goal is to bring you fun facts about the series every week. Last time, we talked about the drama's episode titles that are named after popular movies. Today, we're here to share interesting trivia about its filming location!
In Our Beloved Summer, Choi Woong (Choi Woo Shik) lives in a cozy two-story house surrounded by lush foliage. He likes spending time in his garden from time to time by watering his plants or sweeping the ground.

In the first episode of the drama, we've seen Woong welcome his ex-girlfriend Yeon-su (Kim Da Mi) outside his abode, and let's just say that it's not the greeting we all expected, LOL!

Woong's house doubles as his studio and his work area is located in the basement. This room is filled with his artworks and has that rustic feel, courtesy of the wood finishes and uneven brick wall. No wonder he spends hours here—we'd love to work in a space as homey as this!

When he's not growing his plants or illustrating buildings, Woong is talking to his reliable manager Eun Ho (Ahn Dong Goo) in the living room. His BFF Ji Woong (Kim Sung Cheol) also sleeps here when he's not in the mood to go home. Woong himself loves napping in this space, too, as long as Yeon-su is with him.

In real life, Choi Woong's house is actually a cafe! Nestled in Suwon, South Korea, the coffee shop is called Hanggeung Party and it's located near hanoks or traditional Korean houses (similar to the restaurants of Woong's parents).

The rooftop of the coffee shop offers a sweeping view of the neighborhood and highlights the majestic Hwaseong Fortress. ICYDK, the piled-stone and brick castle is designated as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site and is known for its historical value.

Unfortunately, Hanggeung Party has closed its doors in February last year due to the pandemic. Let's hope that it will open again after the success of Our Beloved Summer so we can visit the filming location soon!
