Ever since it was announced that Lee Min Ho would be making his TV comeback through the Netflix K-drama The King: Eternal Monarch, we’ve been itching with excitement. In fact, we’ve even been rewatching a couple of his previous shows in anticipation.
Well, good news, fellow fans: The official trailer was just released today, and it might make the countdown to the show a little more bearable, as it gives us a clear glimpse of what we can expect from the show.
We already know that the fantasy K-drama revolves around the concept of a parallel universe, but the trailer reveals that this was brought about by an “unleashed demon,” which we reckon we’ll be seeing more of in the show itself. A lot of action scenes, perhaps!
We also know that Lee Min Ho will playing the emperor, who is determined to seal the gateway between these two parallel realms and will be entangling himself in a relationship with modern-day police inspector Detective Jung Tae-eul (played Kim Go Eun).
Well, if you’re a hopeless romantic who's especially into heart-fluttering scenes, then you’ll be pleased to know that you can expect a lot of that—the trailer ends with Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun looking deep into each other’s eyes. Ugh, swoon! However, we are also given a glimpse of a mysterious woman who looks like she'll get in their way. We'll have to wait and see how the drama will play out!
