Virgil Abloh, founder of luxury streetwear label Off-White, announced his collaboration with popular homeware giant IKEA back in June of last year, and now we finally get to sneak a peek at some of the long-awaited goods! Check out Hypebeast's talk with the designer himself, below:
We spy a chic array of slim wooden furniture, glassware, some tastefully understated cabinets (made especially to showcase sneakers!), and even a selection of cool pillows. There's also a prototype called Door Stop Interruption, a simple chair with—you guessed it—a bright red doorstop attached to one of its legs.
If that isn't quite enough for you, keep scrolling to see the other previously-revealed numbers from the tie-up, officially dubbed Markerad, your humble abode has got to have.
"The essence of the project is not just us designing something cool for cool's sake," Virgil said in an introductory livestream held in New York last April 30. "I'm trying to invest an artistic quality in things that you already have." Another fun fact? The project is aimed at students and young people moving into their very first homes, so expect sleek, no-fuss pieces finished with Off-White's signature touch.
