Last week, Erwan Heussaff was spared from another prank by his brother-in-law Nico Bolzico—and it was all thanks to Anne Curtis.
What is now known as the #ErwanCalvo hashtag (Nico spelled kalbo in Spanish thus Calvo) first started when Solenn’s hubby challenged Erwan and vlogger Wil Dasovich to a “real-life filter contest.” The mechanics? Both Wil and Erwan needed to copy Nico’s summer buzz cut.
Thinking that nothing would really come of it, Erwan boldly accepted the challenge and promised to shave his head if Nico’s Instagram post reaches 50,000 comments. Soon enough, netizens flooded Nico’s comments section with over 56,000 responses.
“For reasons, we can not disclose, but in order to protect the life of one (or two) of the founders, we have decided unanimously to cancel the #ErwanCalvo challenge,” Nico wrote in his Bullied Husbands Club Public Announcement.
“We want to thank the 55,450 people who commented to make this possible, and rest assured that there is nothing we want more than to keep our commitment, but trust us when we tell you that this is a case of force majure. For safety reasons we also can not disclose the names of the founders at risk.”
In the video, Erwan was seated and was about to get all his hair shaved off by Nico when Anne barged into the room just in time before tragedy struck. Her face was full of shock, horror, and disapproval. That was a close call!
The post caused quite a stir online and reaped a multitude of reactions from the internet. Not only did netizens react, but also some of their celebrity friends, have joined in to give their unsolicited comments about the entire stunt.
