Did You Know? NAIA Is the Third "Most Stressful" Airport in Asia, According to Study

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) isn't exactly world class, as we all know. It had even been called the "worst business class airport in the world" in a study by worldwide luggage storage app Bounce sometime back. If that tag wasn't bad enough, NAIA has apparently been given another distinction: It is now one of the top-five most stressful airports in the world. Yikes!

Travel blog Hawaiian Islands had recently published data about how stressed people get at airports around the world. It had went through roughly 1,500 Google reviews for 500 airports worldwide to come up with the conclusion. Suffice to say, people were very unkind to NAIA.

It showed that about 58 percent of passengers who actually went through the so-called "gateway to the Philippines" experienced stress levels so bad that it made for third-worst in Asia and the Oceania. The only two other airports NAIA had trailed in that regard were Australia's Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport and Vietnam's Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Each garnered 59 percent and 60.1 percent, respectively, marks good for second and first on the list. In fact, the formerÂwas ninth globally when it came to delays, as per a report from CNN Travel. The latter, on the other hand, was named the most stressful around the globe.

So what's the most stressful airport in the world then? It's located in the United Kingdom, folks. The Manchester Airport collected 82.5 of reviews that indicated stress. For some reason, four out of the top 10 most stressful airports worldwide were in the U.K. Five more are in Europe. In North America, it's the Toronto Pearson International Airport in Canada that bagged the dubious distinction.
