A veteran in Summit Media’s editorial ranks, she had spent a significant portion of her professional life with the company before stepping away in 2019. In the years since, she redirected her focus to coaching, mentoring, public speaking, and content creation. Now, equipped with a renewed sense of purpose, she returns to Summit Media with the aim of bringing all those experiences together. "It’s the perfect way to bring together everything I’ve learned since stepping away," she says.

Much of Myrza’s work has revolved around building confidence and helping others harness the power of their voice. Her appointment as editor-at-large gives her a new avenue to empower the editors and creatives behind the content of Summit Media’s various titles.
“It’s a dream to be working with fellow journalists who share the same background, passion, and purpose—to connect with audiences and shape culture in a meaningful way,” she says. Lisa Gokongwei-Cheng echoes this, adding that Myrza’s wide-ranging expertise makes her an ideal mentor “for the younger generation of digital editors.”
While she won’t be involved in the day-to-day editorial operations, Myrza will be at the helm of strengthening brand identity and ensuring that editorial efforts hold their ground in today’s ever-evolving digital landscape. “This move affirms our commitment to train and empower the talent who will carry our vision forward,” Christine Sandejas says of Myrza’s role. “I’ve always trusted Myrza to understand the heart of our editorial mission—and now, I trust her to help guide our leaders to meet the moment with courage, creativity, and confidence.”

From Howard Go’s perspective, Myrza possesses a “rare blend of analytical rigor and creative intuition”—a combination that’s vital in today’s media landscape. At the heart of her work, the newly minted editor-at-large aims to shine a light on every patron of Summit Media and its titles.
“Whether it’s a story, an insight, or even a single sentence that strikes them, I hope it helps every reader or viewer feel seen, heard, and a little more confident in who they are and what they can do,” Myrza articulates. “That’s what I’m always aiming for—that the content I help shape doesn’t just resonate, but encourages someone to take the next step, believe in themselves more, or simply feel a little less alone in what they’re going through.”
Honed by her experiences as a confidence coach, motivational speaker, podcaster, and Palanca Award-winning fictionist, Myrza wields Summit Media’s vast platform to champion what a Filipino can aspire to be. “Because at its best, media shouldn’t just inform or entertain,” she says.
