We love MUJI for how they juggle form (of the minimalist aesthetic, to be specific) and function across their line of products—which includes everything from stationery to apparel to household items. Soon enough they may even enter the food and drink realm—or at least that's what we're guessing, based on a recent post on MUJI Philippines' social media pages hinting at the opening of something soon in Bonifacio Global City.
MUJI is cooking up something that's opening soon and we've got guesses:
MUJI Philippines published a post on their Facebook page last April 3, and it hints at some sort of opening that’s building anticipation for “something big” which will soon hit BGC. Based on the posts photo—which depicts a counter area with what looks like a cup of coffee and an espresso machine to boot—we reckon that it's likely some sort of café.

It's also worth noting that MUJI Philippines posted a similar, and possibly related, teaser back in October of 2021. The post featured a cup of coffee, mentioning that "something new is coming" and even having the hashtag #CentralSquare on the caption.

If their line of packaged snacks and other pantry staples available at their global stores are any indication, they seem to have a great handle on food—so needless to say, we've got our hopes up! And ICYDK, the brand also opened their own food-service spot in Tokyo just last January—so we're crossing our fingers that the we'll get to see that in our shores too!
