Whatever your favorite emoji is, forget it. Turns out, at the end of the day, we all tend to use the same ones to express our digital emotions, anyway. If you don't believe us, maybe a bit of data will convince you!
According to statistics courtesy of Gboard a.k.a. Google's virtual keyboard for Android and iOS, the tears of joy emoji is the most frequently used one globally. By the amount of memes and hilarious content online, there's really no surprise there. That said, its opposite—the crying emoji—made the cut, too, but landed quite far behind at sixth place. Several heart emojis also topped the list: blowing a kiss at number two, followed by the heart-eyed emoji at number three, and the red heart trailing fourth.
