In an interview with MJ Marfori, Moira shed light on her condition, sharing that she was still learning about her recent diagnosis.
Sharing that ADHD was usually associated with hyperactivity, Moira shares that she is the opposite of hyper. “Apparently, ADHD doesn't just define hyper. There's a lot of other things... Actually, I'm still learning so much."
The singer said that although she was not initially seeking to get diagnosed with ADHD, she started to learn more about her condition after her diagnosis.
“My sister was diagnosed with [ADHD], and so was one of my closest friends’ husband. I’ve been reading up so much about it and it’s like, ‘Oh, it makes sense,’” she shared.
"I used to think na na-titrigger lang ako, but yun pala may mga certain instances lang talaga na parang na-aano ka. And usually, halimbawa, may certain sounds na mawawala yung train of thought mo," she explains.
Moira called her recent ADHD diagnosis a “new season” of getting to know herself better. “I feel like I’ve always been so hard on myself, I always beat myself up for not having it together… ang dami kong hindi natatapos na mga bagay na gusto kong gawin.”
“In general, I’m hard on myself because there are moments that I feel like I could do things better, but for some reason I can’t… and it’s little things like that that frustrate me,” she added.
The Paubaya singer has opened up about her mental health struggles in the past, and has asked her followers to seek professional help when they need it.
