On Sunday, September 19, the official pages of Miss Universe Philippines announced that the much-awaited coronation night this Saturday, September 25, will be postponed. "Mounting a safe pageant for all our stakeholders is our number one priority today. This is why we enhanced, even more, all of our safety protocols given our current situation," the post started.
It then detailed the new dates for the pre-pageant activities, preliminaries, and the voting period from September 23 to 29, with the date of coronation night labeled as "to be announced soon."
The post assured pageant fans that the final date of the coronation night will be announced once they get "final approval" from the Inter-Agency Task Force: "Rest assured that once we receive the final go signal, you will be the first to know. Don't worry the finals will be just a few days away."

The winner will be representing the Philippines in the 70th Miss Universe competition in Eilat, Israel this December.
