It looks like there won't be just one, but two sources of Filipino pride at the upcoming Miss Universe 2018 as Filipino designer Monique Lhuillier has been reported to be one of the judges for the much anticipated pageant. Miss Universe Organization president Paula Shugart revealed the big news in an interview with ABS-CBN, boasting its all-woman panel for this year. "It's all women, all female empowerment, they're all role models for every one of our contestants to aspire to be," Paula says.
The Cebu native, Los Angeles-based designer is best known for her couture bridal gowns, having dressed up prominent figures like Anne Curtis, Mandy Moore, and Dakota Johnson's 50 Shades of Grey character Anastasia Steele. That being said we can't wait for what Monique has to say about the evening gown portion. We're already pretty sure our bet, Catriona Gray will deliver!
Monique will be sharing the judges table with former Miss Universe titleholders like 1992 winner Michelle McLean of Namibia.
