"I just wish people were more respectful," pleads Millie Bobby Brown as she recounted a recent experience she had with a fan who tried to invade her privacy even when she explicitly asked them not to. According to a report by E! Online, the Stranger Things star took to Instagram Stories to narrate her fan encounter while she was out with her mom doing Christmas shopping.

According to Millie, a fan approached her and asked if she can take a video of the actress. "I said, Um, no.' But why would anyone want to be taken a video of? Of me? It's not like of the both of us," she explains. The fan, however, did not leave and proceeded to take a video of her again. Frustrated, Millie began to cry and said, "I'm a human being. Like, what more can I ask from you?"
The fan did not stop, however."She said 'So I can't take a video of a human being?' And I said, 'No, not when I said no.'" Following Millie's tearful post, the official Twitter account of Stranger Things' writers tweeted a random reminder that is seemingly a sign of support for the lead star. A part of the tweet says, "Be kind to others. Find compassion. Wear a mask."
At age 16, Millie rose to stardom after headlining popular titles like the series Stranger Things and the film Enola Holmes, both produced by major streaming platform Netflix. In 2018, the actress landed on the Time 100âs list of Most Influential People. She was just 14 years old then. Through her acting stints and numerous endorsements, Millie is considered as one of the highest paid Gen Z stars, with estimated earnings of $10 million by 2020.

Despite her stardom, Millie reminds fans that she is still a human being (and a minor, at that) who has the right to have her privacy respected, especially when she asked for it. "I don't need to justify it to anyone. If I don't want to be taken a video of, I don't have to be."
